A clinical society is an organization which provides a broad range of educational activities and opportunities for its members by updating their knowledge and skills through Continuous Professional Development. In advance it will actively encourage and support research and publications in nursing by providing a platform for regional and national researchers. Further, it will help to improve the quality of public health care for a comprehensive curative and preventive health service. Beyond that it will enhance nursing standards through sharing experience worldwide and evidence based practice. A clinical society has become a vital need for Sri Lankan Nurses today to empower our nurses to join hands with global nursing
• Evaluate interventions and monitor the nursing service and it outcomes.
• Disseminate and promote utilization of effective interventions
• Expand nursing quality improvement and collaborate among nursing practitioners.
• Expand the education and training with a view to increase the training capacity of nurses to match the demand in global opportunities.
• Transform the education of nursing professionals to improve health care and develop new leaders in health care quality and safety.
• Promote clinical research /evidence based practices. • Conduct research workshops/symposium to upgrade the knowledge and create the research culture among nurses.
